January 25 - February 6, 2025
Bali Spiritual Tour
Join us for a spiritual dive on the
island of God
Didi Ananda Samprajina worked in Bali for six years from 2014 to 2020.
When she came to Bali, the margis owned a piece of land that was just a jungle. By Babas Grace, together with the margi community, Didi built a thriving and vibrant center called the Ashtaungika Center consisting of three buildings and a learning center for children.

Due to her many years living and working in Bali, Didi can bring you on fascinating adventures getting to know the real Bali and meeting the large Ananda Marga community in Bali. There are several Ananda Marga schools in Bali - one with more than 400 students, plenty of Ananda Marga units, a big Master Unit with a children's home with more than 50 children and another children home with around 80 children. Join this tour to sing kiirtan and meditate with the wonderful margis of Bali!

Santi Mandala Villa and Spa

We start our journey at Santi Mandala Villa and Spa. This hotel was built by a margi, brother Sudarshan, in the nineteen eighties. He used to train all his staff for three months before they started working at the hotel. They did paincajanya, asanas, kiirtan and sadhana twice a day and learnt everything about Ananda Marga - Yama and Niyama, 16 points, Neo Humanism, Bio psychology etc.

When you arrive in this hotel you will be greeted with a warm "Namaskar" and you can also join the staff for Dharma Cakra every Tuesday if you like! We stay here for three nights to recharge after the long travel and use it as a base for visiting the Ashtaungika Center, Kupu Kupu Learning Center, the Holy Water Temple and Ubud.

"The Supreme Consciousness is there in you as the oil is in the oilseed. Crush the seed through sádhana and you attain Him; separate the mind from Consciousness and you will see that the resplendence of the Supreme Consciousness illuminates your whole inner being." - Shrii Shrii Anandamurti

Visit to Ashtaungika Center

Ashtaungika Center was built 2016-2017 and consists of three buildings. There is a large octagonal building which is dedicated to only spiritual programs - there is no sleeping, eating or lectures given in this building. It has a large coloured glas window pratik and a strong dignified, spiritual vibration.

The second building is the school building, this is a traditional Javanese building - a Limasan. This building is the home of Kupu Kupu Learning Center.

The last building is a smaller 28 m2 building which is the office of the resident Didi.

"I have the strength, courage and determination. I can transform myself and emerge from my cocoon like a beautiful butterfly"

Kupu Kupu Learning Center

Kupu Kupu Learning Center started with a handful of children in January 2017 and is now a thriving afternoon school with nearly 100 children registered. The focus is on learning English, through a neohumanistic approach, with a large variety of classes, activities and programs.

During our visit we will meet with Didi Ananda Kanika, the teachers and the children at the Kupu Kupu Learning Center and hear about their work and school. Kupu Kupu means butterfly in Indonesian.

We will also visit Wood school, another thriving Neohumanist school in Bali.

In Parama Purusas presence, the moon, the stars and even the brilliant sun becomes lustreless. Electricity has no light before Him, what to speak of fire. All these shining objects derive their brilliance from Him. Their existence depends entirely on His existence. He is an embodiment of effulgence. He is the source and foundation of all life in the universe. All entities shine with His radiance. One will have to accept Him as the only object of one’s mind.

Temples in Bali - Tirtha Empul

In Bali every day starts with a prayer. When you arrive at work you start with a prayer. Everything is infused with the thought and presence of the Supreme being. Every house has a family temple and every village has at least a few temples. Spirituality is a deeply integrated part of life and God

guides every step.

We will visit a few of the famous temples in Bali as well as see many smaller ones. Tirtha Empul - the holy water temple is a temple near Ubud that has a mystical, beautiful atmosphere. We also visit Uluwatu and watch the famous Kacak fire

dance performance.

"To make His dear children dance in joy and overflowing delight, He plays hide-and-seek with His little children. One need not run about in the world to find Him who is contained within the jewel-case of one’s existential feeling.- Shrii Shrii Anandamurti

Lakeview Hotel

The Lakeview Hotel is situated on the side of Mount Batur overlooking the beautiful Batur lake in the middle of the crater. We will stay at the hotel one night and enjoy the marvellous nature scenes.

Mount Batur is 1717 meters high. While we are staying at the Lakeview Hotel, there is also an opportunity to climb the mountain in the early morning and see the sunrise from the top. It is a spectacular experience! You will climb with experienced mountain guides that Didi have known for many years. The trip starts early in the morning. After the climb, everyone enjoys a trip to the natural hot springs.

Before we continue to the north of Bali and the Master Unit in Singaraja, we stop at the hot springs near the
volcanic lake of Mount Batur for a good soak.

Batur Natural Hot Spring

Mount Batur is a volcanic mountain where there was a huge eruption many thousands years ago that created an enormous crater which is now lake Batur. There are two thermal hot springs near the lake and we stop here for a few hours to enjoy a bath before we continue to the north.

After our relaxing time at the hot springs we continue to Singaraja, the second largest city in Bali. And also the home of the Ananda Kuranja Master Unit and home for now 50 children.

Ananda Kuranja Master Unit Bali

Dada Sutapananda came to Bali around the year 2015. The Master Unit was then quite run down and not given much attention. Dada slowly and steadily started to hold activities and have since then built many new buildings, started a children's home and became a very vital point in the life of Singaraja City.

At the Master Unit, Dada and the children grow plenty of vegetables, have lots of papaya trees, runs a kindergarten and they also have many goats to take care of. Here we stay three nights to visit the Master Unit as well as see Singaraja, the neohumanistic school nearby and visit margis in the area.

After our visit in the north we pass by the city of Karangasem on the east side of Bali, meet with some margis there and then continue down to Denpasar and more specifically the area of Kuta - perhaps the most touristic place we visit in all of Bali - but definitely an interesting place. Here we stay for one night at the Adi Dharma Hotel. Next morning we take the 30 min long boat ride to the island of Lembongan and stay there for two nights.

Visit to Lembongan

In Lembongan we stay at a hotel near the beach where the sound of the ocean waves lulls

you to sleep each night.

These days are for swimming, relaxing, reading, walking on the beach and to discover the interesting island of Lembongan.

Here we will do kiirtan and sadhana on the beach while enjoying the beautiful sunsets.

After the island we return to one more night at Adi Dharma hotel before our flight back home.

Adi Dharma Hotel

Adi Dharma Hotel is a hotel in the heart of Kuta and 5 minutes to one of the famous white sand beaches of Bali. Here we will stay comfortably for a night before we fly home. It is quite near to the airport.

Also Adi Dharma was built by margi brother Sudarshan and have been a successful hotel since the seventies. The hotel have a very nice Dharma Cakra hall.

Some of the staff working here has attended LFT training and they have regular Akhanda Kiirtan and Dharma Cakra at the hotel. Even here you will be greeted with a warm, friendly Namaskar!

Here is what some of our earlier participants say about the tour:

It's been a week since I came back from the tour, but I still cannot fully process it. It's been so powerful! So many emotions, impressions, meetings, stunning, colorful scenery, and most importantly, amaizing, open-hearted, and devoted people!

I've never been on such tours, but I'm sure it's not the last one for me. It was so beautifully organized, with so much care, love, and attention to detail.

I really enjoyed our multinational and multilingual group, the luxuries of the Shanti Mandala Hotel with delicious food, the spiritual vibration at the DC hall at Kupu Kupu LC filled with love and hospitality from Didi and all the kids, the hike on Mount Batur with all its glorious nature, the kind-hearted and devoted acaryas at the Master Unit and the children's home, the beautiful spiritual wedding, and the crystal-clear water at Lembongan with its unbelivable underwater world.

Being a teacher seeking ways and examples of neohumanist education, I think the most meaningful for me was a visit to Wood School. Seeing how teachers and kids interact with each other and with nature really inspired me and gave me some insights that will hopefully transform into something useful in the future.

Thank you, Didi, so much for such an amazing opportunity to taste and feel the national culture, to meet local margiis, to learn about their projects, and to be inspired by them.

Sister Omkari

I want to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible experience I had on the spiritual tour. It exceeded all my expectations and left me feeling profoundly enriched in so many ways.

First and foremost, the connections I made during the tour were truly life-changing. I formed friendships that I know will last a lifetime.

Moreover, the tour provided the perfect environment for me to deepen my spiritual practices. Whether it was through meditations, Kiirtan, insightful discussions, or immersive experiences, I felt myself growing and evolving with each passing day.

And let's not forget about the food! The culinary delights served during the tour were nothing short of amazing. Each meal was a feast for the senses, and I savored every bite.

Overall, this tour has left me with a treasure trove of memories that I will cherish forever. Thank you Didi for organising such a transformative and unforgettable experience. I am filled with gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose as I carry the lessons and connections from this journey forward in my life.
